Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I knew from a young age I wanted to enter the medical field. My career path led me to be a nurse, and from there to obtain my PNP. There is always something to be learned in medicine, and it is a privilege to help patients and families during some of the most stressful periods of their lives.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I worked for 5 years as an RN at Children’s National and chose to stay in the area as an NP. DC has so much to offer in terms of diversity.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
I enjoy traveling, any type of exercise, live music, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and the outdoors!
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
I truly can’t imagine being anything else, but if I had to choose I would like to be a teacher, and a group fitness instructor on the side!
