Where did you grow up?
Woodstock, GA
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I became a PA because I want to help people, I enjoy taking care of others, and I like to connect with my patients. I decided to go into pediatrics because I love caring for kids and have a lot of experience working with pediatric patients.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
I enjoy writing, going to the gym, traveling, and going on walks with my husband and dog.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
My proudest accomplishment in my professional career would be graduating from a top 10 PA program at Wake Forest School of Medicine. My proudest accomplishment in my personal life would be marrying my husband who is the love of my life and best friend.
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
I would probably be a veterinarian or a zoologist, because I love animals. I lived in Costa Rica for a period volunteering at a wildlife rescue center and took care of monkeys, sloths, birds etc. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
