Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I previously worked as an RN in Neonatal Intensive Care where I treated many premature infants or those who sustained brain injuries at birth. I chose to become a nurse practitioner in Physical and Rehabilitative Medicine because it gives me the opportunity to provide a continuum of care for this population and be involved in their achieving of the highest quality of life possible. I am fortunate to still see some of my former patients and their families.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
I enjoy doing various forms of exercise with my friends including Crossfit, running, spinning, exploring D.C., and traveling.
