Where did you grow up?
Born in Denver, raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I always wanted to be a doctor – no idea why. In medical school I realized I needed to work in pediatrics. During pediatric training I fell in love with the logic and mystery solving of Neuro.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I was first in private practice in Hyonnis Ma (1982-87). I have been practicing in DC since 1987. I love the multi-cultural aspect of DC along with the diversity of lives/occupactions here
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
Reading mysteries, watching old films, photography.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
Keeping a sense of humor
