Where did you grow up?
Connecticut
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I wanted to be a pediatrician so I could play a direct role in fostering good health, growth, and development in children. In medical school, everything about the gastrointestinal system fascinated me, so I knew I would find a career in pediatric GI to be the most fulfilling.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
Traveling, spending time with family, enjoying various genres of music/the performing arts, and trying different restaurants.
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
Since I was involved in the performing arts as a dancer from kindergarten through medical school and I enjoy working with children, I would have probably combined the two to be a dance instructor.
