Where did you grow up?
Father was in the Air Force, so we lived in many places.
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I became a doctor because physiology and medicine are fascinating subjects, and went into genetics because I wanted to solve the mystery of the genetic reason for human conditions.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I've been here for 1.5 years. I love D.C., because it is a beautiful city and there is lots of fun things to do. I also love the monuments!
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
Taking my dogs for walks in Rock Creek Park, visiting Mount Vernon, and the Virginia wineries.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
Graduating Medical School!
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
I'd be running a dog rescue shelter! Why? Because dogs are wonderful.
