Where did you grow up?
I was an Army kid, so I grew up all over the country. My favorite place that I lived growing up was Colorado.
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I became a provider because I had several providers growing up who had an impact on me and helped me to become interested in the medical field. I chose pediatric oncology because I felt that it was a specialty in which I could have a meaningful impact on patients and their families.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I have been working in the area for about 6 years.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
I enjoy skiing, traveling, and hiking with my husband and our dog.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
I am a 7-time All American in NCAA gymnastics.
