How do I schedule the endoscopy or other procedure my doctor has ordered?

Please call #703.876.2788, and follow the automotive prompt to schedule your procedure. Your doctor will have placed an order in your child’s medical record indicating which test(s) are to be done. Your doctor may specify a location and/or provider.

Our scheduler will discuss with you the available options regarding dates/times, the physician who will perform the procedure, and locations. They can also help answer questions you may have regarding insurance coverage. We recommend you contact your insurance company directly to verify coverage. If your child is having a colonoscopy, we will also provide the pre-procedure bowel regimen.

What should I expect prior to the procedure?

2-3 days prior to your child’s procedure, you will receive a phone call from the pre-operative nursing team. They will ask you questions about your child’s health to make sure it is safe to proceed with the procedure as scheduled. They will also confirm your arrival time and answer any other questions you may have.
