Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) was created by Children’s National Health System and Inova Health System as a unique, Northern Virginia-based physician group practice dedicated exclusively to the needs of children. In 2013, these two pediatric powerhouses combined their strengths and talents to offer the children and families in Northern Virginia and nearby communities access to the best specialty care possible, drawn from both parent organizations.
In January 2015, PSV was notified that it is considered a public charity and tax-exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, similar to both of its tax-exempt parent organizations, Children's National Health System and Inova. Therefore, any donations made to PSV since its creation were considered charitable and tax-exempt. This status allows PSV to pursue additional funding sources for research and support of innovative models of care and education for the benefit of the patients and communities served.
