Premier specialty care for children in Northern Virginia

Children are not “little adults.” Caring for children requires specialized training and experience to understand the complexity of their health problems and to recommend the best treatment approaches in a developmental context. The specialists at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia are experts at providing that care for children and their families.

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia is a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. It was created as a medical group by Children’s National Hospital and Inova Health System to be focused exclusively on caring for children. Our specialists are recognized as “Top Docs” by Arlington Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Washingtonian and have appeared in U.S. News & World Report as leading experts in their fields.

We provide the best care available for children through a unique blend of medical expertise, innovative ideas and research, and a culture of continual growth and learning. Donations to Pediatric Specialists of Virginia to advance innovative care models, education and research are fully tax-exempt.

History

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) was created by Children’s National Health System and Inova Health System as a unique, Northern Virginia-based physician group practice dedicated exclusively to the needs of children. In 2013, these two pediatric powerhouses combined their strengths and talents to offer the children and families in Northern Virginia and nearby communities access to the best specialty care possible, drawn from both parent organizations.

In January 2015, PSV was notified that it is considered a public charity and tax-exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, similar to both of its tax-exempt parent organizations, Children’s National Health System and Inova. Therefore, any donations made to PSV since its creation were considered charitable and tax-exempt. This status allows PSV to pursue additional funding sources for research and support of innovative models of care and education for the benefit of the patients and communities served.
