PSV Endocrinology division is excited to learn today the news of that Insulet Corporation has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System (Omnipod 5) for individuals aged six years and older with type 1 diabetes.

“-Current Omnipod Users can be told they will receive an email directing them to PodderCentral where they can sign up for the interest list for Omnipod 5; this will be the fastest way to get started when Omnipod moves to full market release
-New users will be able to go to the website (Omnipod.com) to access the interest list; they have the option to start on Dash now as the controller is no charge.
*Getting DASH will allow easy upgrade for Omnipod 5. Important for patients considering starting now.
