PSV Parent Children’s National Ranked Top 10 Nationwide by U.S. News & World Report
Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) is proud to announce that our parent, Children’s National Health System, ranked among the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in the 2017-18 Best Children’s Hospitals Survey.
We are also proud of the many PSV physicians who have worked closely with Children’s National colleagues to provide children in our community with the highest quality care and who have contributed to this achievement. In addition to Children’s National being ranked the #1 hospital in the nation for Neonatology care, four other Children’s National specialties were ranked in the top 10 by U.S. News. Children’s National and PSV frequently collaborate on care for children in Northern Virginia in these (the following) specialties.

U.S. News surveyed 183 facilities for the 2017-18 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, giving equal weight to structure, process and outcomes. The rankings rely primarily on clinical data consider measures such as survival rates, adequacy of staffing, procedure volume, patient safety, and infection prevention. The rankings are designed to help parents determine where to get the best medical care for their children and highlight the top 50 U.S. pediatric facilities in 10 specialties, from cancer to urology.
PSV was created in 2013 by two parent health care organizations, Children’s National and Inova Health System (first reference spell out), as a unique Northern Virginia-based, physician group practice dedicated exclusively to the needs of children.
