The PSV Ashburn Center's Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Reception were enjoyed by all. Dr. Leon Moores, PSV CEO, welcomed local dignitaries and accepted awards from both the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and from the Chamber of Commerce, who were both very complimentary of PSV's endeavors to expand services benefiting the children of Loudoun County and surrounding communities.
Dr. Ian Leibowitz, PSV Chief Medical Officer and Gastroenterologist, spoke on behalf of the providers and staff caring for children first at Leesburg and now at Ashburn. He stated that everyone was glad that PSV could expand to meet the needs of these growing communities. Dr. Christopher Lawlor, PSV Philanthropy Chair and Oncologist, thanked all of the donors who added to Ashburn’s décor and festivities which included:
- Six local artists that donated artwork to the clinic
- Cindy Chambers, Tell Me Town Founder and Author, for her contribution of books and storytelling presentations
- The Loudoun County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management team, who gave a fire safety presentation and brought their equipment for children to view
- Sterico Signs for providing signage that promoted the opening festivities
