Interdisciplinary support for children with functional deficits
The Pediatric Physical Rehabilitation Medicine service at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia provides evaluations and rehabilitation management for children of all ages with functional deficits that impact movement and overall quality of life. In particular, we offer a full spectrum of care and evaluation for infants with suspected brain and spinal cord injuries or congenital disorders.
Together with a nurse practitioner, every child's care in this clinic is closely managed by some of the region's top rehabilitation medicine experts, Thomas Chang, MD (Medical Director) and Olga Morozova, MD. Their lifelong professional interest and experience is in improving the functional abilities of children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities that start in childhood.

Interdisciplinary Perinatal Brain Injury Clinic
This service also offers a special clinic specifically for infants with suspected neurological injury or deficits that brings together care providers from Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, Neonatal Neurology, and Physical Therapy to evaluate and develop targeted care plans for these children and their families.
