AYA Talks 2025: Virtual Education Series for Adolescents & Young Adults with Cancer

PSV’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) is proud to launch AYA Talks 2025 — a free, virtual educational series designed specifically for Adolescents & Young Adults (AYAs) ages 15–39 who are affected by cancer. This four-part series will run monthly from August through November and cover topics that matter most to the AYA cancer community, including education navigation, sexual health and body image, financial wellness, relationships, and more.

All sessions will be held online via Zoom and are open to both patients and their caregivers.

First Session:

  • Topic: Charting Your Course: Education Planning After a Cancer Diagnosis

  • Presenter: Vanessa Wagener, MEd — Education Navigator from the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation — joined by a special AYA guest speaker.

This session will explore how to navigate education after a cancer diagnosis, including strategies for applying for scholarships, requesting accommodations, planning for your career, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to hear real-world experiences and ask questions in a supportive environment.
