Katherine “Kat” Ashe, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV). She cares for children and adolescents with a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with clinical interest in acute fractures, sports injuries, and trauma. Kat sees patients in Fairfax and Ashburn and is passionate about helping young athletes and active children safely return to the activities they love while guiding families through recovery. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Charleston and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bryant University. Prior to joining PSV, she spent five years practicing at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina, Kat was drawn to medicine by her passion for helping others and her interest in the complexities of the human body. She chose pediatric orthopedics because of her desire to work with children and help families navigate the path from injury to recovery. In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to research focused on pediatric sports medicine and orthopedic injuries.
