Dr. Amy Barone is a board-certified pediatric hematologist and oncologist at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD). She specializes in caring for children and adolescents with blood disorders and cancers, with a particular clinical interest in immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). Dr. Barone is committed to providing compassionate, family-centered care while helping patients navigate complex diagnoses and treatments.
Dr. Barone earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
