Dr. Emily Hattwick is the Medical Director of Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine department and a board-certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeon. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in pediatric hand surgery, congenital conditions, and post-traumatic deformities. Dr. Hattwick earned her medical degree from George Washington University, completed her residency at Vanderbilt University, and advanced her training through a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, and Shriner’s Hospital of Northern California.

She has been honored by numerous top publications, including Arlington Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, Virginia Living Magazine, and Washingtonian.

A McLean, Virginia native, Dr. Hattwick returned to the Washington, DC area after training in Nashville and San Francisco. She is passionate about helping children embrace their differences and succeed through personalized care, whether through surgery, therapy, or education. In addition to her clinical work, she is dedicated to international surgical missions, having provided care in Nicaragua, Colombia, and Guatemala. Outside of work, Dr. Hattwick enjoys spending time with her family, participating in activities like horseback riding and travel.
