Dr. Hans Pohl is a board-certified pediatric urologist at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) with expertise in hydronephrosis and hypospadias. Fluent in English and Spanish, he has been practicing in the Washington, DC area since 2002. Dr. Pohl completed his medical training at The George Washington University, followed by a fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Boston. Recognized as a Top Doctor by Arlington Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Washingtonian, he is known for his compassionate care and surgical precision.
Inspired by a passion for reconstructive surgery during medical school, Dr. Pohl specializes in helping patients achieve independence, particularly those with spina bifida. Outside of his clinical practice, he enjoys watching his son play sports and continues to be driven by a lifelong fascination with craftsmanship—a skill he values as much in the operating room as he does in woodworking, a family tradition. Dr. Pohl sees patients at PSV’s Fairfax clinic.
