Joyce Urban, CPNP-AC, is a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse practitioner at the Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD), specializing in inpatient care, leukemia, and solid tumors. She holds certifications as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNCB), Certified Pediatric Nurse (PNCB), and Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (APHON). Urban earned her M.S.N. from the University of Virginia in 2023 and completed her B.S. in Nursing at George Mason University in 2016. Having worked in the Washington, DC area since 2017, she values the community feel at PSV and Inova, as well as the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and families. She also serves as the program coordinator and secretary for the DC-area Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) chapter.
