Dr. Justin Shields is a board-certified pediatric neurologist at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) in Fairfax and Ashburn, bringing more than 15 years of experience caring for children with a wide range of neurological conditions. He is certified in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology and has clinical interests that include headaches, epilepsy, spasticity and cerebral palsy, as well as tics and Tourette’s syndrome. Dr. Shields is dedicated to helping children and their families navigate complex neurological challenges through compassionate, individualized care.

Dr. Shields earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2001 and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in 2005. He completed his internship and residency training in neurology at the National Capital Consortium (Walter Reed) in 2010. Throughout his career, Dr. Shields has been recognized for both his military and academic service, receiving the Bronze Star Medal in 2011, Meritorious Service Medals in 2019 and 2025, and the Outstanding Teaching Award from the Uniformed Services University Neuroscience Module for three consecutive years (2023–2025).
