Kirsten Gunter, CPNP-AC, is a board-certified pediatric acute care nurse practitioner with more than 17 years of pediatric healthcare experience. She provides care for patients at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) Fairfax Pulmonology clinic, specializing in pediatric asthma management and acute and chronic respiratory conditions, particularly in children with a history of prematurity and those with complex medical needs.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Kirsten built an extensive background in pediatric and neonatal intensive care nursing, where she cared for children with complex medical conditions. She earned her undergraduate degree from Liberty University and her graduate degree from the University of South Alabama. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care.
