Dr. Mariana Middelhof is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV), specializing in pediatric gastroenterology, nutrition, and hepatology. She has a particular interest in motility disorders, obesity, eosinophilic esophagitis, liver health, and medical education. Fluent in Spanish, English, Papiamentu, and Dutch, Dr. Middelhof provides compassionate care to a diverse patient population at PSV’s Ashburn and Fairfax locations.
She earned her medical degree cum laude from San Juan Bautista Medical School, followed by a residency at San Juan City Medical Center and a fellowship at the University of Rochester. Throughout her training, she received numerous awards for excellence in clinical skills, teaching, and patient care.
Dr. Middelhof was drawn to medicine for its blend of patient care and education. She values creating strong connections between patients, families, and providers. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, traveling, crafting, and reading. She is also an active volunteer in children’s and women’s ministry at her church.
