Dr. Patience Odeniyide is a board-certified pediatric hematologist and oncologist at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD). She specializes in pediatric solid tumor oncology and provides compassionate, evidence-based care for children facing complex and critical illnesses. Dr. Odeniyide earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010 before completing her medical degree and PhD at Indiana University in 2014. She returned to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her internship and pediatric residency training and went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology through Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health in 2021. During her fellowship, she served as Chief Fellow in 2020.

Originally from Carmel, Indiana, Dr. Odeniyide was inspired to pursue medicine by her desire to care for children with critical illnesses and support families through some of their most challenging moments. She brings a patient- and family-centered approach to care while remaining actively engaged in clinical research and academic scholarship. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing treatments and improving outcomes for children with cancer.
