Dr. Ramesh Patel is the Medical Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV), specializing in pediatric anesthesiology. With over 40 years of experience in the Washington, DC area, he is board-certified by both the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pediatric Anesthesiologists. Dr. Patel completed his medical degree in India, followed by residency at the University of Colorado Hospital and a fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center. He enjoys the area’s weather, museums, and cultural diversity. Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys cricket, volleyball, and reading. He has a passion for volunteering in India and has contributed to significant medical cases, such as the separation of conjoined twins and the care of a child victim of the DC sniper. Fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Bengali, he practices at PSV’s ASC in Fairfax and is proud to have raised three children and two grandchildren.
