Update on First Name Error on Patient Letters
Many of you recently received a letter from Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) explaining our transition. We have learned that the first name on many of these letters was not the correct first name. All the other information on the envelope including last name and address are correct. The contents of the letter are also correct. Unfortunately during the production of the letter the data file became corrupt and the incorrect first name was placed on the envelope. Rest assured you only received information for your child and your child’s information was not shared with anyone else. We are sincerely sorry for the confusion and inconvenience this has caused.
As of February 6, 2023, PSV has transitioned some of our specialty services to one or both of our parent organizations— Children’s National Hospital and Inova Children’s — while others remain with PSV.

If you have a scheduled appointment with a provider transitioning out of PSV, then your appointment has automatically transferred to either Children’s National (located in the same building as PSV in Fairfax) or Inova Children’s (Fairfax or Ashburn locations), and your medical records are with your care team at their new location.
