11 PSV Providers Named “Top Doctors” of 2021 by Arlington Magazine

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) is pleased to announce that 11 of its physicians across 8 pediatric specialties were selected as “Top Doctors” of 2021 by Arlington Magazine in their July/August issue. The recognized doctors were selected by the Professional Research Services (PRS), which conducted an online peer-review survey of physicians in Arlington County, Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, and the City of Alexandria.

The National Scoliosis Center features Dr. Laurel Blakemore, CEO

Did you know that June is Scoliosis Awareness Month? Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) Dr. Laurel Blakemore, CEO, was featured by the National Scoliosis Center(link is external). In efforts to raise awareness, Dr. Blakemore discusses the importance of adolescent scoliosis screening.

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s Dr. Laurel Blakemore, CEO, was featured by Setting Scoliosis Straight in their “Surgeon Spotlight”.  Setting Scoliosis Straight is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to empowering families impacted by scoliosis through education, connection, and research.

PSV’s Dr. Laurel Blakemore featured in Stryker 2020 Comprehensive Annual Report

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) CEO, Laurel Blakemore, MD, was featured in the Stryker 2020 Comprehensive Annual Report. The company offers innovative products and services in Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical, and Neurotechnology and Spine that help improve patient and hospital outcomes.

PSV’s Dr. Blakemore used Stryker’s Mesa 2 Deformity Spinal System to perform a complex spinal surgery to address a worsening case of scoliosis in seventeen-year-old Destiney Jackson, from Gainesville, Florida. This procedure allowed Destiney to return to her active life where she’s an accomplished and passionate dancer.
