Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) CEO, Laurel Blakemore, MD, was featured in the Stryker 2020 Comprehensive Annual Report. PSV’s Dr. Blakemore used Stryker’s Mesa 2 Deformity Spinal System to perform a complex spinal surgery to address a worsening case of scoliosis in seventeen-year-old Destiney Jackson, from Gainesville, Florida. This procedure allowed Destiney to return to her active life where she’s an accomplished and passionate dancer.

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s Dr. Rebecca Levorson, Medical Director of Infectious Disease, was featured in Northern Virginia Magazine’s February 2021 issue. Dr. Levorson shares a story about how she and her team’s decision to administer the antiviral medication remdesivir helped save a child who had fallen ill and become hospitalized due to COVID-19.
